Lectio
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be consoled.” (Matthew 5:5)

Reflect on the words “mourn” and “consoled” in this passage. Let these words speak to your heart, understanding the depth of God’s promise.

Meditatio
Meditate on what it means to mourn. This Beatitude calls us to recognise the brokenness in the world and in our own lives. Mourning can arise from sorrow for sin, loss, or the pain of others. Reflect on how God’s consolation brings hope and healing, even in the midst of suffering.

Oratio
Lord, I bring before You my sorrows and the burdens of others. Comfort me and those who mourn, and help us to find peace in Your eternal promises. Teach me to trust in Your consoling presence.

Contemplatio
Rest quietly in the Lord’s presence, trusting in Yahweh’s compassionate love. Let His promise of consolation fill your soul, bringing peace and reassurance.

Actio
Reach out to someone who is mourning or struggling. Offer a listening ear, a prayer, or a small act of kindness to bring them comfort and reflect God’s love.

Please pray for peace and safety in the Holy Land. (info)
