The Holy See of the City of Jerusalem is the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the current Patriarch who oversees the Bishops and churches in communion with the See. The See was founded by Jesus Christ and His apostles, with St. James being the first bishop. The See is a non-political institute.
Some of the authorized liturgy for churches include: The Liturgy of Saint James, the Tridentine Mass (pre-Vatican II), the Liturgy of Addai and Mari, the Russian Orthodox Church Old Rite, and the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
