“All the ways of Yahweh are mercy and truth, to those who yearn for his covenant and his testimonies.” (Psalm 24:10)
Meditatio
Slowly read and meditate on the words in this passage. Notice that God’s ways are characterized by both mercy and truth. His covenant and testimonies guide those who seek Him, offering a path full of grace and integrity.
Meditate on the mercy and truth of God. His mercy brings us healing, forgiveness, and renewal. His truth illuminates the path of righteousness, leading us to a deeper understanding of His will. To yearn for His covenant is to desire a relationship with Him, rooted in obedience and love. Meditate on how the Lord has shown mercy in your life and how His truth has directed your steps.
Christ is the perfect embodiment of Yahweh’s mercy and truth. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He demonstrated the fullness of God’s mercy by taking upon Himself the punishment for our sins. At the same time, He proclaimed the truth of God’s love and justice, calling all who follow Him to walk in the light of that truth. By yearning for Christ, we enter into the new covenant, where mercy and truth meet perfectly in Him.
Oratio
O Lord, I thank You for Your mercy that forgives my sins and Your truth that lights my path. Help me to remain faithful to Your covenant, trusting always in Your testimonies. Amen.
