Part 3: The Pot That Would Not Empty

Isidore often brought to his table the poor who queued at the door. One day the pot seemed spent, the ladle striking the bottom with a hollow sound. His wife, María, looked with concern at the gathered guests. Isidore, confident in the Giver of all good, told her to serve again. She did—and there was enough, not as spectacle but as sufficiency. The miracle takes place within the domestic temple where God is honoured by order, sobriety, and welcome. It praises neither waste nor presumption; it blesses charity exercised in prudence. The kitchen becomes a sanctuary; the pot, a chalice of daily providence. Those who set a place for Christ in the poor will not lack the portion He assigns.

Prayer: Divine Heart of Jesus, bless our table and those whom we feed. Let our home be a place of quiet abundance, where Thy compassion is made visible. Saint Isidore, intercede for us.

Scripture: 1 Kings 17:8–16; 2 Corinthians 9:8.
