Lectio
“Judge me, Yahweh, for I have been walking in my innocence, and by hoping in Yahweh, I will not be weakened.” (Psalm 25:1)
Meditatio
Meditate on the courage it takes to ask the Lord to “judge” you. This request shows a clear conscience and a life lived in faithfulness to the commandments. David’s strength comes not from himself but from his hope in Yahweh.
Meditate on your own life. Can you ask God to judge your actions? Are you walking in innocence, and if not, what needs to change so that you can?
Meditate on how hope in the Lord strengthens you.
David’s trust in Yahweh prevents him from being shaken or weakened by the challenges of life. Meditate on how hope in God’s justice and mercy gives you the ability to stand firm in difficult circumstances. Where do you find your strength when you feel weakened? How does your trust in Yahweh give you the courage to face judgment and the trials of life?
Oratio
O Lord, I come before You, asking for Your judgment in my life. Help me to walk in innocence, to live in a way that is pleasing to You. I place my hope in You, knowing that You are my strength and my foundation. Keep me from being weakened by the struggles and temptations of this world. Strengthen my faith, Lord, so that I may stand firm, trusting in Your justice and Your mercy.
