Prayers after earthquake strikes Afghanistan
The Patriarchate is asking all members of the church to keep the people of Afghanistan in their prayers after an earthquake has caused the deaths of hundreds of people. There are members of the Church in this country and we are currently unaware if they were affected.

Train fire kills hundreds in Egypt
Our prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives in a recent fire train in El Ayyat, Egypt. Sources indicate that possible 300 people perished in the fire.

Terrorism expected to increase during April
The Patriarchate of Jerusalem is expecting terrorist attacks to increase any day now and during the month of April. Members living in Israel should make sure they have enough supplies in their homes so they can safely shelter.

Members of the Church in India warned to take shelter
The Patriarch has asked members of the Church in India to gather necessary supplies and take shelter in light of recent rioting. The Patriarch said, “It is my belief that the rioting now is going to lead to many deaths. Everyone who receives this communication in Gujarat state should make sure they have enough food and water to last several days and take shelter. Those who are making their way north should move quickly. Do not delay.”

Prayers for victims of explosions in Lagos
Our prayers go out to those affected by explosions that took place in Lagos, Nigeria. At this time the total number of those who were killed is still unknown. We ask all members of the Holy Church to keep the families and those who lost their lives in their prayers.
