Meditate on your hope in God. Do you fully trust that the Lord will deliver you in His time and way, or do you sometimes fear that your trust may be misplaced?
Oratio
Lord, preserve my soul and rescue me from all the dangers that surround me. I place my hope in You alone, confident that I will never be ashamed for trusting in Your goodness and power. Strengthen my faith so that in moments of fear or distress, I will remember that my hope is in You, and You will not fail me. Keep me close to You, Lord, and deliver me from all that threatens my peace and my soul.
Contemplatio
In contemplation, imagine yourself standing before God, offering Him your soul and all your concerns. Feel the security of being under His protection as He preserves and rescues you from any harm or threat. Let genuine confidence fill your heart—knowing that because your hope is in Yahweh, you will not be ashamed. Rest in the assurance that the Lord is your steadfast protector, and that no matter what comes, His care for you will never falter. Let this deep sense of trust and peace settle in your soul as you contemplate the power of God’s preservation.
Actio
Let this verse inspire you to trust more fully in Yahweh’s protection in your daily life. When you face moments of fear or doubt, remind yourself of David’s confidence: “I will not be ashamed, for I have hoped in you.” Make an intentional effort to bring your worries and struggles to God in prayer, asking for His preservation and rescue. Trust in His timing and His plan, knowing that He will not let you be put to shame when your hope is in Him.
