The WCV is in the public domain.<\/p>\n<p>Various Aramaic\/Syriac, Hebrew, Greek and Latin manuscripts were consulted in this work. This is an ongoing project which began on 5 June 2024.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>2 December 2024<\/strong>. Psalms 60 through 64 added.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>1 December 2024<\/strong>. The books of Micah, Ruth and 1 Samuel have been added. Adjustments were made to the following verses according to the Aramaic: Lev. 10:17; Deut. 33:8.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>15 September 2024<\/strong>. Psalms 41 through 59, and the books of Joshua and Judges added.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>28 August 2024<\/strong>. Psalms 18 through 40 added.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>23 August 2024<\/strong>. Additional adjustments to the text to conform to British spelling and grammatical syntax. Other updates included changing &#8220;Lord&#8221; to &#8220;our Lord&#8221; in various verses where this is confirmed by the Aramaic.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>15 July 2024<\/strong>. The name &#8220;Yahweh&#8221; was included where the Tetragrammaton \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4\u200e <a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/hebrew\/strongs_3068.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appears<\/a> in the ancient Hebrew text. This also follows the example of other Catholic translations such as the <em>Jerusalem Bible<\/em> (1966) and the <em>New Jerusalem Bible<\/em> (1985, 1987). The divine name also appears in certain New Testament passages in the original Aramaic manuscripts as \u0721\u0735\u072a\u071d\u0735\u0710 meaning &#8220;Lord Yahweh&#8221;.
